The Silent Companion

While a dog shall always remain a man's best friend,

for those of us seeking a less demanding friend, book isn't too bad a companion.

My life course changed when I picked up the books at 13 years of age.

It’s never too late to pick them up.

The books will never judge me.

They don't care if I don't understand them.

They don't care if they gather dust for months 

and won't smirk if I pick them up one day.

Offering lifelong lessons at a pace our brains can assimilate,

all they expect is we take effort to pick them up and turn their pages.

Let us start turning the pages on 02 Apr onwards

and make a friend for life!
