If: A Schoolman’s Version

If a student struggling to navigate life finds moment of happiness,

And is able to dust off the dismal thoughts,

And can find solace in the fragrance of pages,

And decides to emulate her teachers’ words,

And this journey out of misery be recounted to the next generation.

I shall consider my transition from an Army man to a Schoolman to be complete.
